Chapter 386 Crouching Tiger Arhat

Chapter 386 Crouching Tiger Arhat
The old man and the young man climbed up surrounded by the crowd.

As the boy Shanhui repeatedly demonstrated the Buddha's true scriptures, everyone has become his believers. They came to Mount Sumeru just to gain an opportunity, and now that the true scriptures are right in front of them, they don't care about anything else.

After walking for a day, it was getting dark and the mountain road was difficult to walk on, so they found a place on a cliff that was sheltered from the wind to rest.

The old man leading the donkey took some food from the donkey's back and shared it with the good and wise boy next to him.

"My old waist~"

The old man sighed, carefully sat down against a rock, and breathed heavily.

Mount Sumeru revealed a silhouette under the afterglow of the sun.

From a distance, you can see the clouds being worn away; from near, you can see the bright moon being swallowed up.

"What a huge mountain! It will probably take more than a month to reach the top. What if we encounter some snakes, insects or beasts?"

"Don't worry, old man. Even though we can't use our cultivation in the mountains, we have the Buddha's true scriptures passed down by the boy Shanhui, so it won't be difficult for us to deal with some snakes and insects."

The ascetic said earnestly.

Just as he finished speaking, a gust of cold wind blew up in the valley, and as the wind passed, a thunderous roar came from the top of the cliff.

Suddenly a huge white-browed tiger with hanging eyes jumped out.

"Oh!"

Everyone suddenly panicked and fled in all directions.

The tiger was not in a hurry. It moved its limbs and rushed several feet away. It bit the man in half with one bite, and blood spurted everywhere.

"Use the Buddha's mantra quickly! If you run away you will be defeated by everyone."

Someone in the crowd suddenly spoke up.

Everyone came to their senses and hurriedly chanted mantras. They were possessed by the Buddha's light and immediately gained faith.

But there was a golden light in the big tiger's eyes, and a playful smile appeared on its mouth. It roared, and then rushed into the fleeing crowd again, waving its claws left and right, and instantly its flesh and blood were torn into pieces.

"How could this be? This is the first demon that is not suppressed by Mount Xumi!"

Everyone began to feel timid and wanted to flee in all directions.

But the fastest runner was caught up by the big tiger in just three or two steps and his head was bitten off.

"This beast is clearly bullying us on purpose!"

Everyone cried out in pain, their teeth chattered, and their legs shook like sieves.

Someone with eyes suddenly saw that the boy Shanhui looked calm, and he immediately rolled over, followed by everyone else.

"Please Buddha, please do something to capture this beast."

In such a hurry, they had already regarded the boy Shanhui as the Buddha.

Everyone hid behind the boy Shanhui, but Shanhui was too thin to hide them.

Da Hu's eyes showed surprise. These guys didn't run away, but were protected by a little kid instead. He couldn't help but feel curious about what the little kid was capable of.

The tiger walked left and right, and as it moved, the people behind the boy also moved left and right, always hiding their bodies behind the boy.

Suddenly, the tiger moved, and pounced towards the boy with its fangs and claws bared.

Before the boy could react, a strong man suddenly jumped out from his side and knocked the tiger aside.

Look at that sturdy guy with a foul odor, who else could it be but that monk?

Da Hu staggered, came to his senses, and was about to charge forward.

Suddenly, a foul odor came over me, a mixture of feces and urine plus a strong smell of sweat. A day of running on the mountain road had fermented the odor, and it was so smelly that it made me dizzy.

Da Hu felt as if a heavy punch had hit his nose, and two tears oozed out of his eyes.

"Little Master, come on, I'll protect you!"

The ascetic made the lotus sword seal, chanted the mantra, and slashed at the tiger.

It jumped away flexibly.

Da Hu immediately became angry. In his eyes, these people were like fish on the chopping board, and he even wanted to avoid them.

He immediately let out a thunderous roar and flew over.

As soon as I got closer, a mountain breeze blew by, and another foul smell came over me.

Da Hu's body weakened, and he wanted to retreat temporarily.

When the ascetic saw the tiger coming, his eyes went dark in an instant, as if a mountain had collapsed. He thought his life was over. He could only make the Mahaka seal to ask for the Buddha's protection.

Then he saw the big tiger suddenly retreat. His eyes lit up and he thought that it must be the Buddha who was protecting him. He immediately became frightened and pounced on it, shouting "Wow!"

He leaped up and landed on the big tiger's back.

Da Hu was furious. He thought that as a great demon, how could he be bullied by these guys who were suppressed by Mount Sumeru and turned into mortals?

He endured the stench and was about to bite the guy to death.

His eyes accidentally met that boy's.

At first glance, it was as if he saw a figure standing tall and majestic. The terrifying aura he exuded made his heart tremble. His mind was immediately taken away, his limbs went limp, and he felt that his demonic power was out of control and running wild.

But the monk on the tiger's body was seen to be extremely powerful, with his hands in the Moka seal, and his whole body was enveloped in golden light, as if he was possessed by Buddha.

He raised his hands, used all his strength, and smashed down with the Moko Seal, causing the tiger to see stars.

The tiger felt pain, and its savage nature took over. It didn't care that the demonic power in its body was running wild and out of control. It just shook its body and threw the monk off. Then it turned over and pounced on him, but missed. It was only made dizzy by the stench, as if its soul had flown away and fell into the underworld.

The monk took this opportunity to step on the tiger's body again, formed the Moka seal, and smashed it down again and again.

Da Hu's body was filled with demonic power at this time, and he couldn't use his divine power. He could only take it. He was beaten so hard that he could not breathe in or out, and blood oozed from all his seven orifices.

The onlookers were stunned. The arrogant tiger was actually subdued by this sloppy monk using the Buddha's teachings.

Everyone hurriedly formed the Moke Seal and attacked it, fearing that the beast would be injured but not dead, and would revive again; after all, it was a big monster.

When everyone was exhausted, all that was left where the tiger demon was was a pool of blood and mud mixed with tiger bones.

The ascetic pushed aside the crowd and knelt before the boy Shanhui: "Buddha, I am honored to have fulfilled your command!"

The boy Shanhui smiled but said nothing, nor did he admit that he was the Buddha.

I only heard an old man beside me say: "You are very courageous and have the ability to subdue a tiger. If you can climb Mount Xumi, you can achieve the status of Arhat and become the Arhat who subdues tigers."

The monk knew that he had come across a great opportunity, and he kept saying, "I don't need any fruit position. My temple is coveted by demons, who come and go to devour monks as if they were in an empty place. Please give me the Buddha's true scriptures so that I can go back and defeat the demons."

"Good~"

The boy Shanhui nodded and said, "The true method of the Buddha that I practiced before is called the Great Sun Tathagata Sword Seal. It is an attacking technique created by the Buddha. If you want to learn the true method, you must become a disciple of the Buddha before you can learn it."

The monk nodded repeatedly: "I am willing."

"If you are willing, then come on the list."

An old man at the side suddenly pulled out a scroll from the bag on the donkey, unfolded it to reveal a blank space, then took out his writing brush, ink, paper and inkstone, and started grinding ink in the night frost and dew.

The ascetic took the pen and asked in disbelief, "Just because I wrote my name, I am a disciple of the Buddha?"

He suspected that the old man and the young man in front of him might be scammers.

If the Buddha's Dharma cannot be false, I would not believe anything he says.

The old man nodded.

The monk was skeptical and left his name on it.

The moment he finished writing, he felt as if something was missing.

Then, endless golden light emerged from the depths of his mind, auspicious clouds condensed in the sky, and endless power poured down.

The body is blessed with banners, canopies, nets, garlands, clothes and silks, and all the bad smells around the body disappear.

Kasyapa in the air saw it clearly. Under the infusion of great power just now, the ascetic's realm suddenly leaped forward and he achieved the status of Arhat.

He had never heard of or seen such a power.

When the people below saw this, they immediately went crazy and knelt around the boy Shanhui, saying that they wanted to join the Buddha's sect.

Kashyapa was hesitating whether to join in. Although he didn't know where the Buddha came from, his magical power of granting Arhat status at will was no less than that of a saint.

Suddenly, he saw a familiar figure in the crowd.

It was clearly Brother Ananda who was forced to face the wall.

Kasyapa's face twitched: "You are so good, Ananda, you are so quick! Are you really not afraid of the punishment from Buddha Dipankara?"

After all, it is Randeng who is in charge of Lingshan today, and those of them who were originally disciples of the Two Saints are being marginalized.

There are already many conflicts between those who have just arrived at Lingshan and the old Lingshan disciples, but these disciples can no longer find anyone to rely on and can only endure being excluded.

After the two saints left the mountain, Dizang stayed in the Eighteen Levels of Hell to fulfill his earlier wish. Even though they called him in every possible way, he was unwilling to set foot into Lingshan Mountain.
