Chapter 1 A young dragon was driven out of his home
In the dark cave, Fari was walking forward step by step.
A series of low roars sounded behind him, forcing him to keep moving forward. Once Farry had any intention of stopping, the roars behind him would become threatening.
Farui walked forward slowly, but no matter how slowly he moved, the entrance of the cave was getting closer and closer to him.
In this way, Fari was forced to walk out of the cave.
The warm sunshine outside shone on Fari's body, making him feel warm, but his heart was already cold.
He wanted to make one last struggle.
So he turned around and looked behind him with a flattering smile.
A giant dragon was standing there, staring at him.
"Mom, how about giving me two more days?"
When he was reincarnated, Farui made a wish to the goddess that he could become stronger just by lying down. When he opened his eyes again, he found that he had become a dragon that had just hatched.
That's right, the nests on Dragon Island need to be purchased. These rare resources are firmly controlled by the Dragon Elders Council. Young dragons without money have to go to the mainland to build their own nests first. Only when they have saved enough money can they find a way to buy a nest on Dragon Island.
A hundred years old is still a young age for a dragon in this world. Asking him to leave the nest and survive independently is as absurd as asking a six-year-old human child to survive on his own.
The Dragon Island below is full of birdsong and flowers, and is rich in magic. For every dragon, this is the most perfect living environment.
However, even the smallest nest on Dragon Island was not something that Farui could afford.
"When I have money, I will buy the biggest nest possible."
After all, he had been lying in the nest for a full hundred years. When other young dragons followed their parents out hunting, he was lying in the nest. When they went out to kidnap the human princess, he was also lying in the nest. When he went to various mortal kingdoms to collect tribute, he was still lying in the nest.
"I've already given you a month's grace period last time. Get out of here today, right now, immediately."
The dragon kicked Fari out of the cave, and then a small box was thrown next to Fari.
As a dragon, he really only needs to sleep in his lair to grow stronger naturally.
"But why didn't anyone tell me that dragons in this world have to leave their nests and live independently when they reach the age of 100!"
That’s right, this dragon is Fari’s biological mother in this life.
"It's no use pretending to be pitiful..."
Seeing that the giant dragon in front of him didn't speak, Fari felt a glimmer of hope in his heart, but then a breath of air coming towards him burned his hope away completely.
"What do we do now?"
Fary looked at his mother pitifully until he saw flames burning at the mouth of the giant dragon in front of him. Unlike the warning breath just now, this time the flames could feel huge magical power. His mother was serious this time.
"mom?"
A lot of this little bit of savings came from Farri's mother in this life.
Fari was at a loss now. He could only pick up the box on the ground, swallow it in one gulp, then spread his wings and flew into the sky.
Fari screamed in his heart.
In the box were Fari's savings. His savings were not much, just some gems, gold coins, and a shield emitting magical luster.
Thinking about the little savings in his box, Fari could only say a few harsh words in his heart, and then flew to the distant continent in shame.
The continent is far away. So far that even a giant dragon would need twenty to thirty days to fly from Dragon Island to the edge of the continent.
"So tired... so hungry."
When he saw the coastline of the mainland, Fari was almost exhausted.
Flying for more than 20 days in a row was already close to the limit for a young dragon like him who was seriously lacking in exercise. Now, he just wanted to have a good meal and then find a cave to sleep for a month.
Farui began to search for a suitable place to build a nest. Soon, he found a mountain not far away. Even better, there was a small town at the foot of the mountain. "That's it!"
Fari flew over happily.
With just a little intimidation, a mortal town could continue to provide him with food and wealth. If he just slept for another hundred or two hundred years, he might be able to return to Dragon Island and buy the smallest nest.
"Humble mortals, please offer your treasures and meat."
Farui landed heavily on the town wall, exhaled into the sky, and then stood there triumphantly, waiting for the mortals to offer food and tributes.
"I'm so handsome, those mortals must be scared silly."
Fary was still happily recalling his appearance, but he suddenly discovered that the mortals in the town did not rush to prepare food and treasures as he had expected.
As soon as the doubtful thought came to his mind, Farui felt a pain on his cheek. After a while, he found himself lying under the town wall, and in front of him stood an angry blue dragon.
Tiny electric currents constantly appear between the scales of the blue dragon, indicating that the blue dragon has reached full adulthood.
"What are you going to do with my slaves?"
It seemed that this town already had an owner. Fary took a step back, and only then did he see a lot of scorch marks on the mountain not far away caused by lightning strikes.
Those were the traces of a blue dragon's nest, and they were very conspicuous. However, Farui was so hungry at the time that he didn't notice them at all.
"Respected Lord of Lightning, I didn't know this was your territory. I just arrived on this continent and came here rashly to look for food because I was hungry."
Fari took a step back respectfully to show that he meant no harm.
Although blue dragons are law-abiding creatures, and under the rules of the Council of Elders, they generally won't kill young dragons like Farui at will, but such arrogant and conceited creatures can easily fall into rage because of the other party's rudeness, in which case the rules of the Council of Elders are not so useful.
"Just a hundred years old."
The blue dragon came to Fary and sniffed to make sure Fary was not deceiving him.
"So, can I go now?"
Farui wanted to run away quickly now, so as not to accidentally offend the guy in front of him.
"Wait a moment."
The blue dragon's answer made him nervous for a moment, but the blue dragon didn't do anything to him. It just turned around and went back to the town.
Not long after, some mortals came out pushing carts.
The car was piled with food.
"Don't starve to death in my territory, take it, and then, don't show up in front of me again."
The blue dragon watched as Farui carefully put away the food and spread his wings to fly away.
When Fari flew out of its sight, a flattering smile appeared on the blue dragon's face.
"Lord Karinsu, I have seen your son..."
A magic circle appeared in front of the blue dragon, and he was using the magic circle to talk to someone in the distance.
"Yes, yes, yes. I only gave him enough food to ensure he wouldn't starve to death."
The blue dragon wagged his tail. Now he looked more like a pug craving praise from his master than a dragon.
"Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir."
The blue dragon's tail did not stop until the communication ended. He glanced at the shivering mortals around him, flapped his wings, and flew towards his nest.
He was in a good mood today and had no intention of bothering these mortals.
At this moment, Fari is still struggling to find a place to stay.
