Chapter 852: Already in the Game
A grand event in heaven.
It can be said that there are many big names gathered here.
There are the sage Laozi's incarnation Taishang Laojun, the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother, the masters of the three realms.
Veteran quasi-saints such as Zhen Yuanzi, Kunpeng, Minghe and others.
The second generation disciples of the Chan sect are the Southern Emperor of Immortality and the Taiyi Savior of Suffering.
Under such circumstances, Wang Ming was suddenly nominated and pointed out by Taishang Laojun, which made Wang Ming's heart skip a beat.
It is obvious that Taishang Laojun wanted to set up checkpoints on the Buddhist journey to the West to collect benefits and gain merit.
Even if Taishang Laojun didn't mention this matter today, Wang Ming could guess it almost exactly.
What really scared Wang Ming was that Taishang Laojun seemed to want Wang Ming to make a move on his journey to the West.
It is certainly a good idea to set up disasters on the journey to the West to earn merits and benefits, but not everyone is qualified to make a move on the journey to the West.
Those who are not qualified to make a move but still ignorantly set up checkpoints on the journey to the West will surely die.
Wang Ming is naturally not the kind of person who doesn't know how to live or die. He never thinks that he is qualified to make a move.
Previously, veteran quasi-saints such as the demon master Kunpeng, the ancestor of the Styx, the ancestor of earthly immortals Zhenyuanzi, and the Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole have made their move.
Wang Ming, a mere Taiyi Jinxian, is trying to make a move with such a small Karami. I'm afraid he must be tired of living like an old man who has eaten arsenic.
You should know that there are quite a few quasi-saints in Buddhism.
If the sage Laozi could leave an incarnation in the Three Realms, wouldn’t Jie Yin and Zhunti also leave one?
Moreover, there are the past Buddha Dipankara, the present Buddha Tathagata, and the future Buddha Maitreya.
They are all genuine quasi-saints.
Sun Wukong's cultivation level at this time is the realm of true immortality, but after going around in Taishang Laojun's Eight Trigrams Alchemy Furnace, he will become a Taiyi Golden Immortal.
Such cultivation level couldn't make much waves in the hands of Tathagata Buddha, Sun Wukong couldn't make big waves, and Wang Ming didn't think he could make big waves either.
then,
Wang Ming immediately said respectfully, "Thank you, Master Lao, for your respect for me. However, my cultivation is too shallow to set up checkpoints on the journey to the West."
It is not difficult to set up checkpoints for Buddhism, but the difficult part is how to resist the counterattack from Buddhism.
Didn’t you see how miserable the deaths of those monsters without backgrounds on the journey to the West were? For example, the golden leopard, the tiger, sheep and deer monsters, etc.
The 81 difficulties in Journey to the West can be simply put be a notebook for taking benefits and bribing money for passing through.
The Jade Emperor set up the first checkpoint on the journey to the West and sent out his two boys, while also giving his disciples five magic weapons to take away.
Originally according to Taishang Laojun's prediction, these two boys were enough to completely block the monkey's way. After all, those five magic weapons were powerful enough to kill Sun Wukong instantly, forcing Sun Wukong to seek help from Tathagata Buddha.
After asking for help from the Buddha, the Buddha understood that he had to leave some money as bribe in order to pass this level.
result,
Sun Wukong used his [Somersault Cloud] and [Seventy-two Earthly Transformations] so skillfully that he subdued Golden Horn and Silver Horn.
Not only did Taishang Laojun fail to gain any bribes, he also lost face.
then,.
Later, Taishang Laojun got angry and sent out his mount, the Green Bull Demon, and gave the Diamond Cutter, which could collect everything, to the Green Bull Demon. It can be said that Taishang Laojun went there just to save face.
The Green Bull Demon was actually doing things to restore Laojun's face. He took away the weapons of any immortals, demons and gods who came by, which was a complete display of Laojun's fists and muscles.
Later, Sun Wukong found Tathagata to subdue the demon.
He ordered the eighteen Arhats to open the treasure house and take out eighteen grains of "golden elixir sand" to help Wukong with the gift.
Then Tathagata said to Sun Wukong, "Go outside the cave and ask the demon to fight. Make him come out, and have the Arhats cast sand to trap him, so that he can neither move nor pull his feet out. You can beat him as you like."
Sun Wukong really thought that the golden elixir sand could imprison the Green Bull Demon, allowing Sun Wukong to eliminate this powerful enemy.
result,
The moment the Green Bull Demon released the Vajra, the golden elixir sand released by the Buddhist Arhat was immediately taken away by the Green Bull.
So Sun Wukong went to the Buddhist arhats to complain to them, but it was no use! The Buddhist arhats said, "The Tathagata told me that the demon has great magical powers. If we lose the golden elixir sand, we should ask Sun Wukong to go to the Tushita Palace in Lihentian to look for his traces. Maybe we can capture him in one fell swoop."
Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong complained that why didn't Tathagata say earlier that he couldn't deal with the Green Ox, and asked him to go directly to ask Taishang Laojun for help, which made him run so much.
But if there were no eighteen grains of golden elixir sand, Taishang Laojun would not be able to invite him at all.
Therefore,
What Taishang Laojun and his men were discussing was nothing more than highway robbery.
··········
The Supreme Lord looked at Wang Ming, then smiled calmly and said, "I think your martial arts skills are very good, and they are very useful for the prosperity of the human race. You can do it boldly on your journey to the West, and other masters will naturally block it for you."
When these words were spoken, not only Wang Ming was stunned, but even the other quasi-saints were stunned and could not react for a while.
In fact, there is a reason for all this.
The martial arts that Wang Ming spread among the people were very widespread, but he only spread martial arts techniques and never involved any of his own religious theories.
but,
The skills that Wang Ming had casually thrown out before included: "Northern Divine Art", "Small Wuxiang Art", "Xiantian Art", etc., all Taoist skills.
This means that Wang Ming is helping Taishang Laojun expand the influence of Taoism without asking for anything in return.
Simultaneously,
The sage Laozi is also the leader of the human religion. The stronger the human race is, the greater the benefit it will bring to him, so Taishang Laojun has often helped Wang Ming block the thunder in secret.
It is for this reason that Wang Ming's Wuzong has not been targeted by any big bosses in recent years.
The matter was laid out in the open by Taishang Laojun. Wang Ming was not a fool. After quickly analyzing it hundreds of times in his mind, he immediately understood the whole story.
Wang Ming was still a little hesitant because he was afraid of being used as a pawn.
Taishang Laojun had a peaceful look on his face from beginning to end. He did not care about Wang Ming's thoughts and continued, "The human race is the main source of belief in gods and Buddhas at this time. In terms of influence among the human race, no sect or immortal god is as good as you, Wuzong."
As soon as these words came out, Wang Ming felt a chill all over his body and a chill down his spine.
The path to immortality requires fate and qualifications, the path to Shinto requires an imperial decree, and the path to Buddhism requires fate with Buddhism, but compared to them, the path to martial arts has almost no threshold at all.
The martial arts that Wang Ming taught had actually been coveted by many bigwigs a long time ago, but they were blocked by Taishang Laojun.
In Laojun's view, Wang Ming is just a non-staff member of his Taoist sect.
By now Wang Ming knew that he was already in the game, so it naturally didn't matter to him whether he participated or not.
Moreover,
At worst, I'll just lose another clone.
