The three demons all seem to be from Buddhism.

To put it bluntly, the Green-haired Lion and the Yellow-tusked White Elephant are just workers who were ordered to stop Wang Ming.

The sister of Garuda is Peacock King Bodhisattva, and Peacock King Bodhisattva is also the Mother of Buddha. In terms of relationship, Garuda is the uncle of Tathagata.

Tang Sanzang and the golden-winged Peng bird are both family members.

Why did the green-haired lion dare to eat Tang Sanzang?

Because there are only two things that are truly indispensable to the five members of Journey to the West. One is Sun Wukong, the son of destiny of this era, and the other is the destiny of the human race.

Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and Little White Dragon.

In the final analysis, the four of them are just relatives of the people, sent by various forces to share the benefits.
