This world was destroyed in form, but its origin still existed, it just fell into the source of the Five Elements.
Since this world has only been destroyed in form and its origin still remains in the primordial nothingness, then the object of sacrifice still exists, and Zhang Qian can offer sacrifice to this world from the ancient times.
Because the original world before the ancient times was essentially evolved from the infinite source of the five elements.
In the end, the object of Zhang Qian's sacrifice seemed to be this world, but in fact it was the source of the Five Tai that evolved this world. It had nothing to do with the passage of time or the changes of years!
No matter how time passes, the original nothingness will no longer change, the most fundamental origin will always remain unchanged!
Unless one day the Supreme Yuan replaced the Five Tai Qi, Zhang Qian would not be able to offer sacrifices to his world before the ancient times, nor would he be able to offer sacrifices to the source of the Five Tai.
The sacrificial mechanism of the Supreme Altar is, on the surface, to sacrifice to the countless targets in the primordial nothingness, and to sacrifice to targets in countless time periods.
In fact, there is only one goal, and that is the source of the Five Elements. After all, everything in the original nothingness was created by the source of the Five Elements.
However, in order to obtain clear feedback, the feedback that one needs, the goal of sacrifice becomes the various manifestations evolved from the source of the Five Tai!
For example, Zhang Qian himself, wasn’t he also evolved from the source of the Five Tai?
Everything in the primordial nothingness is evolved from the source of the Five Tai. Only with a clear sacrificial target can Zhang Qian get the feedback he needs after the sacrifice.
Otherwise, the feedback he gets will be chaotic and without any pattern.
By comprehending the perfect supreme altar, Zhang Qian also got the answer to why there was no eternal river of time in the primordial nothingness.
Because time does not exist, not in the primordial nothingness.
It's just an appearance!
The vast and boundless primordial nothingness does indeed have no time and space, and does not even have the concept of these two things. There is only pure nothingness.
There is the concept of a long river of time in the universe and a feeling of the passage of time, but that is because the universe is not a completely closed independent system.
