Chapter 23: Brilliant Knight
Ambrose walked into a place similar to a conference room on the third floor of Heaton Paradise. Two people were already waiting there.
One male and one female.
Both of them wore epaulettes on their left shoulders that sparkled with dazzling golden light, the Golden epaulettes.
"Hey, boss, why are you late?" A very frivolous male voice sounded.
The speaker was a man dressed as an archer, carrying an emerald quiver on his back and wearing a set of light armor. For archers who need to be very agile, the armor would hinder their speed, but this man still wore it, which shows that he has enough confidence in his physical fitness.
The Wind-piercing Archer - Einbert.
"Doron, what happened? You look a little strange." Before Ambro answered Einbert's question, the only female figure in the room appeared strangely in front of Ambro.
She had a half-length black scarf wrapped around her face, revealing only her eyes as clear as autumn water. Her entire body was wrapped in hazy dark grey leather armor, through which her graceful figure could be vaguely seen. Although her full appearance could not be seen, it was definitely possible to tell that she was a beauty.
She is the only woman in the third-ranked gold-level adventure team 'Glorious Knights' in the Kingdom of Kendenia, the messenger of the night - Sally.
In addition, the remaining two members of the 'Glorious Knights' are Yelvin and Alvis. They are both magicians, but they belong to different branches of magicians.
As a night thief who had developed a keen sense of smell over the years and had a woman's unique intuition, Sally quickly determined that something was wrong with Ambrodolon's current condition.
The slightly disordered breathing and the hawk-like eyes that were inconsistent with Ambro's usual style were the eyes that Ambro would show when he encountered a difficult enemy.
All of this meant that Ambro must have just experienced something that caused his body to react instinctively.
Did he encounter a strong enemy? Sally couldn't help but wonder, but who in Rose Lowe could threaten the glory-level Ambro?
"Nothing." Ambro shook his head and said, "Don't worry."
"Really?" Sally seemed concerned.
"Really, I'm just too tired recently and I just had some illusions."
"Hey, boss, what have you been doing these days? Could it be that you went to..." Einbert quietly gave Ambro a look that all men understood.
A dark light flashed in Sally's eyes, and her whole body seemed to emit a black airflow. She stared at Ambro, moved her lips, and said, "Doron, is it true?"
"Of course not! Can you believe what that kid said?" Ambro didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"I knew you were not that kind of person." In an instant, Sally's eyes became clear. She turned her head and smiled at Einbert, "Einbert, why are you still so naughty? Is there a part of your body that needs work done recently?" As she spoke, she flexibly turned a sharp dagger that had appeared in her hand at some point, staring at Einbert's lower body with ill intent.
A cool breeze came from between his legs, and Einbert was so scared that he clamped his legs together and moved away from Sally. He said with a smile on his face: "That... Big sister... I was just joking... Just a joke... Don't take it to heart... Haha..."
Just as Einbert was sweating profusely, the last two members of the 'Glorious Knights' came to the conference room one after another and successfully rescued Einbert from the "big crisis".
At this point, all five members of the 'Glorious Knights', one of the highest-ranking adventurer teams in the Kingdom of Kendenia, had gathered here. The four of them sat in their respective seats, waiting for Ambro, the leader, to speak.
"It's like this. I just received a private commission from Starlight Trading Company. The commission is..."

"That little girl is really interesting." Luo Qiu strolled in the Sloda Forest, recalling the expression of Xia, the eldest lady and maid of Xidon Paradise, and couldn't help but smile.
During breakfast, Luo Qiu approached Xia, risking being rejected by the girl.
What surprised him was that Xia didn't show any sign of being reserved. Instead, she casually sat down opposite Luo Qiu and chatted with him.
"Are you really a maid?" Luo Qiu really wanted to ask this question at that time.
When Xia heard that Luo Qiu was planning to go to the Sloda Forest alone, the funny expression on her pretty face with her beautiful eyes wide open made Luo Qiu smile even now when he recalls it.
It's no wonder that Xia was so surprised. Although Roserowe was close to the northern part of the Sloda Forest, the danger level of this area was not as high as that of the central area, but it was still the Sloda Forest. There were countless sub-human monsters and magical beasts in it. Few adventurers went in alone. They all formed teams and prepared sufficient supplies and potions before entering.
For a Gray Steel-level adventurer to go into the Sloda Forest alone to adventure, there are two words to describe it - seeking death.
Xia didn't know Luo Qiu's true strength, so she kindly advised Luo Qiu to go to the Adventurer's Guild to find some new adventurers to join together. This would not only increase the chances of completing the mission, but also increase the chances of survival.
A new adventurer is not yet a formal adventurer, and can only look for teammates through his own eyes. After completing the rookie mission and becoming an official adventurer of the Adventurer's Guild, if you need teammates or want to join a certain adventurer team, you only need to submit your application information, and the Adventurer's Guild will be able to screen and recommend teams or teammates for you at the first time.
Luo Qiu certainly doesn't need any teammates. He is also too lazy to do anything like pretending to be a pig and eating a tiger and hypocritically join a weak team of adventurers and then wait for the team to encounter a crisis to make a big splash.
He just wanted to finish the rookie mission quickly, then go back and take a good look around Rose Lowe, and wait for the auction in three days.
The extremely lush jungle is filled with the scent of nature. Strong sunlight pours down through the gaps between the branches and leaves, illuminating the road blocked by the shade of the trees with great clarity.
"Hmm, it seems we're almost there." According to the information provided by the Adventurer's Guild, after Luo Qiu casually dealt with a group of monsters that came to die, he walked "unimpeded" all the way to the scene where "Stone-Eyed Medusa had been witnessed by several adventurers."
But... Luo Qiu narrowed his eyes and looked around, but seemed to find nothing.
As expected of a sub-human monster that already possesses low-level intelligence, it actually knows how to hide itself.
This area was eerily quiet. Apart from the rustling of the wind and the friction of leaves, there was no other noise at all.
Luo Qiu leaned against a big tree with his arms crossed over his chest. He didn't make many movements, but just kicked the soil under his feet occasionally out of boredom, as if he was waiting for something.
Nearly twenty minutes later...
A leaf above Luo Qiu's head slowly floated down. Luo Qiu stretched out two fingers and pinched the leaf in front of him with incredible precision. He shook his head and said softly: "Monsters are monsters. It turns out that humans are more patient."
