Chapter 384: Climbing Mount Xumi
After leaving West Kunlun, Yang Jian did not wait too long.
Then I saw a golden light coming from the east.
Under the golden light, it was Taoist Duobao and his disciple Huo Ling.
"The journey to Jin'ao Island is long. Uncle Master spent quite a while on the journey. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for a long time."
Before Taoist Duobao arrived, a hearty laugh was heard first.
Yang Jian bowed and said, "Master, you are too kind. Yang Jian did not wait too long."
Afterwards, Yang Jian did not say anything polite and went straight to the point: "I asked Master to come here because of the matter of Mount Xumi. I already know Master Taiqing's arrangement. Today's appointment is to fulfill Master Taiqing's plan and let Master become the master of Mount Xumi, so that the two saints from the West will never have a chance to return to the mountain."
Duobao didn't look surprised, he had expected this when he came, and just asked, "How do we do it?"
Yang Jian briefly activated the Tai Chi diagram, and the Yin and Yang energies flashed away: "Uncle Master, why don't you go to Mount Xumi with me first, and we will know when the time comes."
Taoist Duobao nodded and was about to set off on the lotus platform.
Yang Jian suddenly looked at Huo Ling and said, "Sister Huo Ling, there is no need to take risks. Mount Xumi is not a good place. Uncle Duobao will have to divide his attention to protect her, and I am afraid it will be difficult to save Sister Huo Ling."
"Yang Jian, what do you mean? Now that you have reached a higher level of cultivation, you look down on me, right? Let's fight, and see if you still dare to look down on me!"
The Fire Spirit immediately became anxious, and shouted as he drew his sword, ready to fight Yang Jian.
"Fire Spirit~ Your Junior Brother Yang Jian has some truth in what he said. You should go to the Southern Continent and help Wen Zhong."
Duobao's voice sounded.
"Fire Spirit obeys your command."
The fire spirit didn't dare to disobey, so he could only pout, glare at Yang Jian hatefully, and leap away.
~~~~~
Mount Xumi and the ancient Leiyin Temple.
Ever since the two saints from the West left the mountain, this sacred mountain has become lively.
This is because the golden lotus of merit is integrated into the List of Gods, allowing all living beings to accumulate merit.
The original methods of the Western religion can generate merits as long as one recites them, which naturally attracts countless creatures.
But even though they were envious, they could only wait outside the temple, waiting for the Buddha in the temple to take pity on them and bestow the Dharma.
One day, an old man came riding on a donkey, accompanied by a handsome boy.
"As for the Zen, after countless attempts at meditation, one often ends up old and emaciated.
Grinding bricks to make mirrors, accumulating snow as food, how many years have you been lost?
A hair swallows the ocean, a mustard seed holds Mount Sumeru, and the golden ascetic smiles. When he is enlightened, he transcends the ten stages and three vehicles, and stagnates the four births and six realms.
Who can hear the cuckoo's cry in the early morning of spring under the shadeless tree in front of the Juexiang Cliff? The road to Caoxi is dangerous, and the clouds on Jiuling Mountain are deep. There is no sound from my old friend here.
A thousand-foot-high icy cliff, a five-petal lotus blossoms, an ancient palace curtain droops and incense wafts. At that time, if you can see through the source, you will see the Three Treasures of the Dragon King. "
The old man muttered some incomprehensible sentences and climbed up the steps of Mount Sumeru under the gazes of many people.
"Shanhui, this is Lingshan Mountain. The Buddha is on the mountain."
The old man said.
"Can we see the Buddha once we reach the top of the mountain?"
The boy named Shanhui asked.
The old man shook his head: "Not necessarily. How could the Buddha have the chance to see you? Your ability to climb Lingshan Mountain is the greatest blessing for this place."
There are many believers in Mount Xumi. When they heard the disrespectful words from the old man, they glared at him and said, "Old man, I saw that you had some Zen in your words before. I thought you were also a Buddhist. But now you are speaking nonsense and disrespecting the Buddha. You should get down the mountain as soon as possible. If someone wants to teach you a lesson, I'm afraid you can climb up Mount Xumi, but you can't get down."
"If you disrespect the Buddha, you will go to the eighteen levels of hell and be reborn as an animal. Endless karma is waiting for you to suffer."
Others were reciting scriptures, which sounded like curses but also like reminders.
The old man didn't listen and walked straight up the stairs.
"You didn't listen to my kind advice and even dared to go up the mountain and pollute this sacred place. The Buddha will send you and this little bastard to reincarnate." A monk attacked suddenly, holding a Zen stick and smashing straight at him.
The old man did not look back, as if he was completely unprepared for the crisis.
The staff was about to hit his head, causing him to suffer a bloody head.
On the side, the boy Shanhui put his hands together carefully, stretched out his middle and index fingers and touched them together, and then used his two thumbs to press the upper parts of the two index fingers together to form a sword shape.
Recite the mantra: "Namo Sanman Duomu Tuo Nan'e"
An eight-petal lotus emerged from between his fingers, splitting the staff into two with a sharp sword intent.
The arrogant monk was just a monk in a small temple at the foot of a mountain. His cultivation was not high, and he came here to make a pilgrimage only because the small temple where he originally lived was invaded by demons, which annoyed him greatly. However, he had no magical powers and could not defeat the demons, so he prepared to come to Mount Xumi to seek the true scriptures to save him from the disaster of demons.
Seeing that this little boy had such magical powers, he was frightened out of his wits. He could neither stand nor walk. His fat flesh was shaking like a sieve, and his feces and urine were gushing out, with a foul stench.
The lotus sword seal formed by the kind and wise boy took root in his brain and cut off all the evil thoughts in his mind.
The monk banged his head on the ground and kowtowed until his head was broken and bleeding: "Spare my life, spare my life, I am blind."
The old man and the young boy ignored them and went up the mountain.
The ascetic felt greatly fortunate and was about to leave.
Suddenly I remembered the lotus sword seal formed by the boy.
He imitated the gestures and chanted the mantra: "Namo Sanmanduo Mutu Nan'e."
Then, energy condensed between his fingers and formed a lotus-shaped sword seal, which shot into the forest, causing the trees to fall down.
The monk was stunned. He suddenly realized that the old man and the young man were far from being as simple as he thought. He could use the sword seals they formed casually fluently, and the true rhythm of them was just like the true scriptures he wanted to obtain.
He didn't even bother to change his clothes and chased after him with a foul smell all over his body.
In the Leiyin ancient temple.
Among them, the monks monitor Mount Xumi, and no movement can escape their eyes and ears.
They noticed it when the old man and the young boy went up the mountain.
The old man's outrageous words made the guarding monk extremely angry: "This old thing is so hateful. He dares to slander the Buddha in the sacred mountain. He must be taught a lesson."
Afterwards, he ordered Ananda to go down the mountain to cause trouble for the old man and the young boy, causing them to fall off the mountain and pay with their lives for the insult to the sacred mountain.
Ananda was originally a core disciple of the Western Religion and his cultivation was not low.
However, he had violated Western religious precepts many times before and had been demoted to the lowest level of monk, at the mercy of other monks.
Ananda took the order and flew down the mountain on a cloud.
Then I saw the old man and the young boy walking up the stairs.
He wondered how to do it.
If he cast a spell in secret to kill these two people, he would feel a little reluctant. Although the old man and the young man were mortal bodies, they were still two lives after all.
Ananda looked at the road ahead of the two of them and suddenly an idea came to his mind.
The road up Mount Xumi is not smooth and there are many trees. If rocks fall and block the way, these two people will not be able to pass and will probably retreat.
Then, Ananda made some hand gestures and performed some magic. Immediately, the mountain shook, rocks fell down in all directions, there was a loud crashing sound, and birds rushed up from the forests.
The old man and the young man continued walking forward and saw many people turning back and going down the mountain.
After asking, they found out that the rocks ahead had collapsed, blocking the way up the mountain, so everyone had to go down the mountain.
"Don't worry, I have Buddhist scriptures that can clear the mountain road."
The boy Shanhui said.
When everyone saw it was a half-grown kid, they all laughed out loud: "You are a little kid whose hair hasn't even grown out yet, and you are talking about the true Buddhist scriptures. How shameless!"
