Chapter 55 Old Friend
Compared to Steve Rogers who is in dire straits, the kind-hearted Colin has a much more comfortable life.
Because the Stark Charitable Foundation no longer pays for the treatment of poor people, Colin's psychological clinic has returned to its previous peace.
But after this incident, Colin's name became known.
Rich and poor alike, they had heard of a very good psychiatrist on Park Avenue.
Both the former and the latter can spread and praise Colin's name.
The only difference is that most of the former were sincerely grateful for Colin's help.
The latter would rather believe that this is a monetary transaction.
So, before anyone knew it, Colin's reputation gradually spread among some poor groups.
But Colin didn't know about these things.
This old friend is Phil Coulson.
The reason for this result was that he was too reckless.
"Even Captain America knows to carry a shield to protect himself."
Looking at Phil Coulson with that familiar smile, Colin couldn't help but feel a little surprised.
"Thank you again."
"How much money do you earn a month? Why are you risking your life for it?"
Phil Coulson was very lucky to be alive.
"If it weren't for what you said back then, I might have really died."
He was at home, receiving a visit from an old friend.
However, Phil Coulson kept these words in mind.
Phil Coulson's tone was sincere.
"It seems that the doctors at your SHIELD are very capable. I didn't expect to see you alive and kicking so soon."
Colin complained at the time.
"No, no, no, please don't ask me to save your life. I can't bear it."
Of course, he ignored Colin's next sentence.
The reason he was able to survive was indeed because of Colin's casual words at the time.
After completing a mission, the two were in the car, and Phil Coulson talked about his mission experience.
I didn’t expect it to get better so quickly.
That mission almost cost him his life in a foreign country.
"I've talked to Tony about this several times, but shouldn't he get hurt as he should, and get impulsive as he should."
So from that time on, he would wear armor whenever he was on a mission.
Colin waved his hand. He didn't need this favor.
After all, he had inexplicably digested part of the potion, most likely because of this incident.
So we don’t owe each other anything.
"No, in my opinion, you are my savior."
Phil Coulson looked at Colin and didn't look like he was joking at all.
Colin curled his lips, he had a bad feeling.
"Let's not talk about thanking each other. We have a long way to go in the future. If I need your help, just don't refuse me."
"But what brought you to see me today?"
"SHIELD must be very busy recently, right?"
Colin took the initiative to introduce the main topic.
He was not so naive as to think that Phil Coulson simply came to him to reminisce about the past.
“It’s really busy.”
"But I haven't officially returned to the team yet. I'm on vacation."
"Well, I do have something I want to ask you for help with."
After seeing the look on Colin's face, Phil Coulson told the truth.
Colin curled his lips, he was right.
Although Phil Coulson is not a weasel visiting the chickens to wish a happy new year, he is definitely not here to simply reminisce about the past.
"So is there anything I can do for you?"
"I am a law-abiding citizen, and I will cooperate if I can." Colin still looked at Phil Coulson with a smile, but he moved his body back a little and crossed his hands in front of his chest.
But Phil Coulson heard alienation in his tone.
The relationship between the two people suddenly changed from friends to the relationship between a government agency and civilians.
"Colin, don't get me wrong. I'm just here to ask you about someone."
As an agent, Phil Coulson saw the meaning of Colin's action at first glance.
Crossing your arms across your chest is a very standard defensive posture from a psychological point of view.
It is also the action people make when facing strangers or when they feel insecure.
But that's not the important part.
Phil Coulson, as an agent, can see this, but is it possible that Colin, as a psychologist, doesn't know this?
The answer is, no.
As a psychiatrist, Colin is far better than Phil Coulson in observing psychology through small movements.
So, when he made this move, he was actually pointing it at Phil Coulson.
I don't trust you/I don't feel safe.
Many words don't need to be said; just a gesture or a look can express a lot.
"Of course, if I know anyone."
Colin still maintained the same look as before, with the smile on his face unchanged.
Unfortunately, his tone was unusually distant.
"Colin, don't get me wrong. The matter I want to inquire about has nothing to do with you."
"It's impossible for you to get into trouble."
Phil Coulson was still thinking about persuading Colin.
However, Colin shook his head.
"Forget it. I really don't dare to trust you people from SHIELD."
"Last time, he used my relationship with Tony to find me and disturbed my vacation."
"Tony Stark only met with your director, and the Stark rooftop was bombed."
"I don't want a rocket to suddenly fly in from outside the door to cheer me up while I'm eating hot pot and singing."
After saying this, Colin did not forget to glance out the window.
His action made Phil Coulson a little embarrassed.
Although in the attack a few days ago, it was Nick Fury who died.
But it is an indisputable fact that Tony Stark also suffered from unprovoked disasters.
So, he had nothing to say.
"Forget it, forget it. I shouldn't have mentioned this."
"It's not a good thing to talk about the dead, so just think of it as me doing a good deed."
"If I'm guessing correctly, you should be investigating the death of Nick Fury."
Colin sighed, a look of compassion on his face.
"Yes, according to our speculation, someone is related to Nick's death."
"So I want you to help me identify it."
Phil Coulson was relieved to hear that Colin was no longer so aloof.
He also didn't want his work to affect their relationship.
"Well, who makes me a person who likes to help others?"
"Who is it? Show me."
Colin said, shaking his head.
"Have you seen this person?"
Phil Coulson pulled a photo from his pocket.
Donna Rivers.
Seeing this familiar face, Colin couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.
I didn't expect Phil Coulson to have found out this far.
That’s fast enough.
